Why Women Should Play Rugby

New To Rugby?

Rugby is played throughout the world by men and women, boys and girls. There are over 6.6million players across 120 countries participating in rugby on a regular basis.

Players are attracted to Rugby because of its unique character-building values.

Our sport is built upon the principles of camaraderie, fair play, respect and teamwork. Every player knows these principles are more important than winning or losing.

From the earliest steps in our sport, players are taught the basics of playing fair, enjoying the game and respecting the officials and opponents alike.

Rugby is the fastest growing team sport in the nation. It is a fantastic sport for children, bringing many physical and social benefits, including increased confidence, self-esteem and self-discipline, as well as enjoyable physical exercise as part of a team

Often described as a combination of football and soccer, it offers countless physical benefits to the players such as improvements in hand-eye coordination, strength, flexibility, endurance and confidence. Come join our training on Tuesday or Thursday evenings to find out for yourself.
